The theme of Ella's month has been rock, in two senses of the word. During half-term Ella went on a fossil-hunting expedition to Dorset's Jurassic Coast, where she found ammonites at Charmouth and Lyme Regis, looked at rock formations at Burton Bradstock, and walked on Chesil Beach. En route she visited Bath and tasted the water, which did not impress her. Once back in London, Ella attended Felix's School of Rock, where she formed a band, The Fluffy Bunnies From Hell, with her friends Georgia and Tiffany, plus two guitarists and a drummer. At the final gig they performed "Never Miss a Beat" by the Kaiser Chiefs and "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes. Also this month Ella saw steam trains to celebrate Miles's birthday and heard spooky Halloween stories at the Old Royal Naval College, followed by a hot-dog dinner in the Painted Hall. Whoooo!
