Ella: Miles, what are you going to do when you grow up? Mummy is doctor. Daddy is a writer. I want to be an archaeologist. What do you want to be?
Miles: I want to be a dragon. In a digger! It will drive me!

This week Miles announced his intention to become a digger-driving dragon when he grows up. He went to Kew Gardens and ran around with Ella, Theo and Vita. They also went on the elevated walkways and listened to trees making strange noises. Earlier in the week Miles went to see dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum and rockets in the Science Museum. But he was most taken with the display about earthquakes, and in particular a car squashed by falling bricks. "What did squash that car?" he asked, repeatedly. "It was a earthquake." We suspect that Miles thinks an earthquake is a kind of brick.
