"Daddy, I am just going to get my small Thomas. I will be back in a second! Mummy, I said I will get my small Thomas. Then I will come back to Daddy. So, where is my small Thomas? It is in the big room. So, I have got my Thomas, Daddy! So, I will just put it there, because it can't move. Thomas's wheels are very blue. He is blue like the sky. Daddy, shall we go downstairs? I want to make a train track with you. Because this train has to go on a track. And then it will go to a station! Come on, Daddy! Come on!"

Like many boys of his age, Miles is obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine. As well as carrying a small Thomas around with him everywhere, he likes to play trains on the living-room floor while watching Thomas on TV. Toot toot! Also this week Miles had a water-pistol fight in the garden with his godmother, Tamsin.
