Christmas, by Miles

"Why is there a rocket in my room? I think I will fit in it! I'm ready for blast off! To the land of space! I counted. Blast off! We're in space! I really really landed on a planet. I'm stuck! I'm stuck on the moon! We're on the moon! I was bouncing. Quick, Ella, we're blasting off again! I don't like Santa, because he's too scary. Look -- I have a moggle of the Chrysler Building! I also have a Empire Steak building. Mummy, I would like to go to Britain. There are stones there. What are the lobsters doing here? I don't like them. Daddy, why did the lobsters go red?"

Miles enjoyed Christmas very much, though he is still not entirely sure about Santa, who is a bit scary, even if he does leave presents behind. Miles woke up to discover a full stocking and a rocket in the corner of his room, in which he immediately flew to the "land of space" with Ella. He opened presents in front of the fire and was very disappointed when there were none left to open. Other Christmas activities included dancing with Lee, eating beef for Christmas lunch and being scared by lobsters (dinner on the 23rd). One of Miles's many presents was a Superman costume. He put it on, jumped around and then, in the traditional manner, fell asleep.
